KSTP-A/Twin Cities Flipping To Sports

Now In The Twin Cities

HUBBARD Talk KSTP-A/ST. PAUL-MINNEAPOLIS will flip to Sports on MONDAY (2/15), taking on the new temporary slogan "AM1500 THE SPORTS TALK STATION." 

Midday team SHAWN PREBIL and CHRIS MURPHY, middayer KELLY WEBB, and evening host AL MALMBERG are out in the shuffle, with morning host and MINNEAPOLIS STAR TRIBUNE columnist PATRICK REUSSE moving to noon-2p, JOE SOUCHERAY's "GARAGE LOGIC" moving from 2-5:30p to 4-6p, and SOUCHERAY and REUSSE teaming up for 2-4p. 

The station is adding ESPN RADIO's COLIN COWHERD for 9a-noon, and will ultimately assume the ESPN RADIO affiliation in the TWIN CITIES, carrying "MIKE AND MIKE IN THE MORNING" and then changing the station's name to 1500 ESPN TWIN CITIES.

Current afternoon host JOE "MR. PHUNN" ANDERSON, who joined the station full-time last month, will do a local morning show while the station awaits the ESPN affiliation (crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Sports KFAN-A and KFXN-A carry some ESPN programming), and will move to 6-7p once the ESPN affiliation is in place.

Also exiting the station today, according to MINNPOST.COM's DAVID BRAUER, are morning co-host JAY KOLLS and news anchor BOB BERGLAND, SOUCHERAY's producer/screener ANGIE LUDWIG, and producers JASON MCGOVERN and JOHN BURNS.
