Arbitron Touts Better Diary Performance In Fall

ARBITRON INC. has announced increases in key benchmarks in the FALL 2009 diary market sample. Sample performance increased -- especially among young adults.
The average DDI of persons 18-34 was 70 across all diary markets -- 15% (9 points) higher than the same survey last year. The number of markets meeting the 18-34 DDI benchmark doubled compared with the same survey from last year, raising the percentage of markets meeting the 18-34 DDI benchmark form 21%-48%
The average DDI for Persons 18-54 was 87 across all markets, exceeding the 80 benchmark. Approximately 88% of the sample markets met or exceed the benchmark for 18-54 in the FALL 2009 survey.
