CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO/TUCSON Top 40/Mainstream KRQ’s HD2 channel from a Country format to Spanish Pop MIA 97.1. Listeners can also tune in and hear the KRQ HD2 MIA Radio channel streamed online at www.krq.com.
"MIA is quickly becoming a vital station to TUCSON radio listeners," OM TIM RICHARDS said. "Adding it to the 93.7 HD2 frequency expands Mia’s reach and gives the Tucson listening audience more of what they are asking for."
"CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO is the only radio group in TUCSON that broadcasts all of its stations in HD," CLEAR CHANNEL/TUCSON Market Manager TOM ZLAKET said. "This technology allows us to offer two distinct advantages to listeners that our competitors don't: the ability to hear our stations with a higher level of pure digital fidelity versus traditional analog stations, and the opportunity to program a second unique format on each of the FM frequencies. By placing MIA on our 93.7-2 channel, listeners can now enjoy the station in a significantly greater coverage area than before."
