Two Killed In Collision With Bus Carrying Trace Adkins' Band

Two people were killed and five more were injured SATURDAY (2/13) when a pickup truck crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the bus carrying the band of SHOW DOG-UNIVERSAL MUSIC artist TRACE ADKINS.
The accident took place in CADDO PARISH, LA while the band was on its way to the CENTURY TEL CENTER in BOSSIER CITY for a concert that night. Both the driver and passenger of the truck were killed on impact, and five members of ADKINS’ band were taken to the hospital by ambulance for minor injuries.
ADKINS was not on the bus at the time of the crash and had already arrived at the venue when he heard the news. He went to the scene in a van, where he picked up the uninjured band members and went to the hospital to check on the others.
"This is a real tragedy," said ADKINS. "Two people have been killed and I don't even know their names. So out of respect for their families, I prefer not to comment too much at this time."
TRACE, a native of SAREPTA, LA, performed an acoustic set at the show that night. He did not perform last night (2/14) in PENSACOLA, FL, but the other acts on the bill, RCA’s MARTINA McBRIDE and LYRIC STREET artist SARAH BUXTON, went on as planned.
