NEWCAP has applied once again to the CRTC to move its Country CKKY-A (KEY83)/WAINWRIGHT, AB to FM. The company's previous application to change bands was rejected in 2008; the new application once again asks for 101.9 FM with 57,000 watts.
ASTRAL MEDIA is also applying for an AM-to-FM move for its AC CHOR-A/SUMMERLAND, BC, which would move to 98.5 FM with 20 watts and an AC format.
POWELL RIVER COMMUNITY RADIO SOCIETY is buying low-power Type B community FM CJMP/POWELL RIVER, BC from POWELL RIVER MODEL COMMUNITY PROJECT FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.
And ANONG MIGWANS BEAM has applied for a new English-language and Aboriginal-language Type B Native FM station at 88.9 FM in M'CHIGEENG, ON.
