Holly Dunn Regrets Losing Opry Membership

THE BOOT blog posted a story YESTERDAY (2/17) about Country artist HOLLY DUNN’s regret on being removed from the GRAND OLE OPRY cast list. DUNN has been a member of the OPRY since 1989 and moved away from NASHVILLE two years ago. She currently lives in the Southwest, and instead of singing, she has been focusing her time on art.
HOLLY said: "They like to keep the OPRY roll at about 70 people who are actively performing. I knew they'd been adding people since I left. But it hurt. Because I loved the OPRY. And I still love the OPRY. And I had really participated as a younger member. I hosted the TV show and backstage show for two years. I was BILL ANDERSON’s substitute host when he couldn't be there. And I did commercials for them and radio for them. I loved the OPRY and what it stood and stands for."
HOLLY says she does not plan on retiring from music altogether. Click here to read more.
