FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION, the organization which provides accommodations and other services to the families of wounded soldiers being treated at military and VA hospitals, is asking radio stations for support during MAY (Military Appreciation Month).
"Helping military families in their time of deepest need is a cause that resonates with all Americans," said FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION Pres. DAVID COKER. "In our experience, people are especially attuned to the cause during MAY because of MEMORIAL DAY, ARMED FORCES DAY and MILITARY SPOUSES DAY."
The organization is asking for whatever support stations can offer, from using FISHER HOUSE PSAs and web ads to news and public affairs interviews, as well as fundraising events and campaigns.
CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WIOD-A/MIAMI, WFLA-A/TAMPA, WLAC-A/NASHVILLE, WOAI-A/SAN ANTONIO, and WRVA-A/RICHMOND and CITADEL Talk WMAL-A/WASHINGTON are already committed to supporting FISHER HOUSE in MAY.
