New ARBITRON President and CEO WILLIAM T. KERR has resigned from the Board of Directors of MEREDITH CORP., effective MARCH 5th. KERR was Chairman and CEO of MEREDITH from 1998 to 2006 and Chairman until earlier this year.
"This decision comes with very mixed feelings and after a great deal of consideration," said KERR, who said that ARBITRON asked him to limit his outside commitments. "I have been honored by the opportunity to work for MEREDITH and serve on its Board, and I hope I have contributed a bit to its success."
