TANGLE.COM announced a multi-year licensing agreement with EMI CHRISTIAN MUSIC GROUP (EMI CMG) for audio and video streaming for EMI CMG artists including TOBYMAC, CHRIS TOMLIN, STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN, AMY GRANT, JEREMY CAMP, NEWSBOYS, UNDEROATH, DAVID CROWDER BAND, THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH, MATTHEW WEST and BILL and GLORIA GAITHER.
Under the agreement EMI CMG gives TANGLE.COM users access to authorized videos and recordings, including user-generated content, of all EMI CMG and digitally distributed label artists. TANGLE.COM will provide content aggregation, distribution and syndication, and ongoing promotions featuring EMI CMG artists. Promotions may include featured videos and music downloads, full-length album stream parties, artist devotionals, retail banner ads, homepage positioning, contests and sweepstakes.
“Music has become fundamental to TANGLE’s social networking community and with more than 50 percent of our searches looking to connect to music related content, it is one of the most important content elements on TANGLE.COM. We sought a partnership specifically with EMI CMG because of the quality, creativity and integrity of the EMI roster and we look forward to helping them build meaningful interactions with their fans," said TANGLE.COM CEO TREY BOWLES.
“Our new partnership with TANGLE.COM is niche marketing at its most powerful. EMI CMG can expand the impact of our artists by exposing their music directly to millions of Christian music fans who have chosen TANGLE.COM as their preferred choice for social networking and online sharing. We see it as a great opportunity to create deeper engagement between artists and fans,” said EMI CMG Pres./CEO BILL HEARN.
