ALL ACCESS hears that DONNIE SIMPSON’s replacement at CBS Top 40/Rhythmic WPGC/WASHINGTON may be television comedienne MO’NIQUE.
SIMPSON retired last month as host of the station’s morning show after 17 years. Our sources say there have been talks aimed at bringing MO’NIQUE over to WPGC. In fact over that last weekend the station had been running promo announcements for “MO’NIQUE’s MORNING TAKEOVER."
The other rumor is that if MO’ NIQUE doesn’t take the offer that’s been extended, former PM-driver BIG TIGGER could become the permanent morning host.
Meanwhile, MIKE BROOKS, ANGIE CORLEY and BOOTSY VEGAS, who had been filling in on the morning show since SIMPSON's departure, have all been released.
