Curtis Buys WCOG/Greensboro From Radio Disney

CURTIS MEDIA is buying silent WCOG-A/GREENSBORO, NC from RADIO DISNEY for $350,000. The station, with 5,000 watts full-time at 1320 AM, had aired RADIO DISNEY programming since 2000 and was purchased by DISNEY in 2005.
BILL SCHUTZ of SCHUTZ AND CO. is serving as broker for DISNEY and JOHN PIERCE of JOHN PIERCE AND CO. is serving as broker for CURTIS in the deal.
KKHN Sold For $45K
SUPERIOR BROADCASTING OF DENVER, LLC is selling KKHN/CALHAN, CO (south of DENVER) to CALHAN RADIO, LLC (MARCONI VENTURES CEO CHUCK LONTINE and STONE PINE INVESTMENTS, LLC (DON JACKSON and MEGAN MCCLUSKY)), for $45,000 plus an LMA before closing. The station went silent last MAY 18th.
Also filed with the FCC was WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP, INC.'s request for permission to take W291BK/VALLEY BROOK, TN silent. The translator was silenced on DECEMBER 1st in order to "facilitate a move and sale to another party."
And Brokered/Ethnic programming specialist PRINCIPLE BROADCASTING NETWORK has closed on the purchase of Spanish Adult Hits KCNL (LA PRECIOSA 104.9)/SAN JOSE from the ALOHA STATION TRUST for $5 million.
