VOCALO.ORG's ROBERT FEDER, coming off his expose on the now-famous TRIBUNE CEO RANDY MICHAELS "newsspeak" banned-words list sent to Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO news staffers, (NET NEWS 3/10), reports TODAY that MICHAELS held a closed-door meeting with the station's news staff to address who leaked the memo to FEDER.
FEDER's source told him that MICHAELS asked staffers about leaks, "What do you think should happen to people who do that?" He also allegedly directed his disapproval to News Director CHARLIE MEYERSON for his handling of the memo.
MICHAELS and FEDER have exchanged shots at each other in public statements, with MICHAELS calling FEDER an "out-of-work blogger" in the CHICAGO TRIBUNE and FEDER, the former SUN-TIMES columnist now with CHICAGO PUBLIC MEDIA's blog, responding that he is being paid and had turned down an offer from TRIBUNE's own CHICAGO NOW website.
