SALEM COMMUNICATIONS' SOUTH TEXAS BROADCASTING is buying Business Talk KTEK-A/HOUSTON back from BIZRADIO HOUSTON for $3.7 million, which includes cancellation of BIZRADIO's loan from SALEM (valued at $1.26 million) and a credit for $1.64 million of programming air time as well as $800,000 cash, plus a time brokerage agreement before closing. SALEM sold KTEK, a daytimer, to BIZRADIO in DECEMBER 2007.
Also, AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION is selling FM translator K217CY/OBERLIN, KS to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $3,000.
And in another FCC filing, MOODY BIBLE INSTITUTE has taken W214AP/JOHNSON CITY, TN off the air for repair and retuning, according to its application for a silent STA.
