KGO Stages 24-Hour Cure-A-Thon

CITADEL Talk KGO/SAN FRANCISCO till hold its annual 24-hour CURE-A-THON pledge event and auction from 7p on FRIDAY APRIL 9th to 7p on SATURDAY, APRIL 10th to benefit leukemia and lymphoma research. Listeners call in their pledges and bid on auction items, with every dollar being raised going directly to fund blood cancer research.
"We look forward to celebrating the 30th anniversary of the CURE-A-THON and continuing KGO’s support of research for a cure of leukemia and lymphoma, KGO Pres./GM MICKEY LUCKOFF said. "This will be our 30th year of participation from our loyal listeners and the volunteers."
Over the past 29 years, KGO Newstalk 810 has raised over $17 million to THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY research in effort to cure leukemia, lymphoma, HODGKIN’S DISEASE and myeloma. Last year's CURE-A-THON raised $832,000.00 to benefit The Society’s efforts to find a cure.
