Birds Cause Interruptions To Delmarva Public Radio

DELMARVA PUBLIC RADIO's noncommercial WSCL/SALISBURY and WSDL/OCEAN CITY, MD are experiencing broadcasting interruptions because ospreys are using the station's STL tower and antenna on the SALISBURY UNIVERSITY campus as a perch for practicing flight.
The SALISBURY DAILY TIMES reports that the birds' return to the tower has caused disruptions to the station's broadcasting and could create problems as the station's pledge drive looms for APRIL 16th-24th. A tower climber has been hired to attach a rod to the STL dish to keep the birds from perching there.
