Ray Stevens To Be Honored With Country Music Hall Of Fame Program

Comedian RAY STEVENS will be honored on APRIL 24th as part of the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM’s “Nashville Cats: A Celebration Of Music City Musicians” series. The program will begin at 1:30p (CT) in the Museum’s FORD THEATER and is included with Museum admission or free to Museum members. Fans can also stream the event live at www.countrymusichalloffame.org.
The program will be hosted by songwriter/musician BILL LLOYD and include a brief performance by STEVENS, an in-depth interview and photos and film clips from the Museum’s FRIST LIBRARY AND ARCHIVE. Immediately following the program, STEVENS will sign autographs in the Museum Store.
RAY is best known for the comedic Country hits like “The Streak” and “Gitarzan” and standards like “Everything Is Beautiful” and “Misty.” He is also a instrumentalist, arranger, producer and played on hundreds of studio sessions throughout the ‘60s and ’70s. He is a member of the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME and the GEORGIA MUSIC HALL OF FAME.
