Dow Closes Above 11,000; Radio Fares Well

Weeks of flirtation ended YESTERDAY (4/12) when the DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE finally closed over the 11,000 mark for the first time since SEPTEMBER 2008.
NASDAQ advanced 3.82 points to 2,457.87.
STANDARD & POOR's 500 index rose 2.11 to close at 1,196.48, just shy of 1,200.
"The same issues that were haunting us are still out there," YARDENI RESEARCH Pres. EDWARD YARDENI told BLOOMBERG NEWS. "But the economy's overcoming some of those concerns and the important thing is earnings are really coming in real strong for the market."
The ALL ACCESS index of our industry's stocks was up YESTERDAY 15.38. Winners included BEASLEY BROADCASTING, CBS, CC MEDIA HOLDINGS, CITADEL BROADCASTING, EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS, ENTERCOM COMMUNICATIONS and SALEM COMMUNICATIONS, all finishing the day up.
