Media Companies To Provide More Content To Mobile Phones

A group of 12 major media companies will provide print and video content on mobile devices, the companies announced TUESDAY (4/13). The programming is predicted to eventually reach nearly 150 million U.S. residents. It will include live and on-demand video, the companies said in a statement.
Members of the joint venture include NBC, FOC, BELO CORP., COX MEDIA GROUP, E.W. SCRIPPS CO., GANNETT BROADCASTING, HEARST TELEVISION INC., ION TELEVISION, MEDIA GENERAL INC., MEREDITH CORP., POST-NEWSWEEK STATIONS INC. and RAYCOM MEDIA.
