The paperwork for the previously-announced deal by which BORDER MEDIA is turning its arrangement with SIMMONS MEDIA Sports KZNX-A (ESPN AUSTIN) and Spanish Sports KWNX-A (ESPN DEPORTES 1260)/AUSTIN into a purchase has been filed with the FCC, revealing a $1.935 million price for the pair. BMP launched an arrangement that allowed its KTXX (THE HORN 104.9) to share ESPN RADIO programming with KZNX in NOVEMBER, and the sale was announced in JANUARY.
In another deal filed with the FCC, The UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA is selling the construction permit for noncommercial KUNE/OTTUMWA, IA to SOUND IN SPIRIT BROADCASTING, INC. for $3,750.
And TED TUCKER's COCHISE MEDIA LICENSES LLC/COCHISE BROADCASTING LLC has asked the FCC for an extension of the silent STA for KCYA/ROLLING HILLS, WY and KWWY and KTWY/SHOSHONI, WY, citing financial considerations for the station being off the air.
