As rumored yesterday by ALL ACCESS, CITADEL Triple A KENZ (THE END)/SALT LAKE CITY has changed formats TODAY (4/21) at 3p MT. The station has adopted the new jockless Gen X format that focuses largely on ‘90s music. It is calling it itsels, "101.9 GEN X MUSIC."
The first three songs heard on 101.9 GEN X MUSIC were YOUNG MC "Bust A Move," STONE TEMPLE PILOTS "Interstate Love Song" and SIMPLE MINDS "Don't You Forget About Me."
The station is being programmed by ED HILL. More details to follow.
Meanwhile, the station, which had been a Triple A since 1996, has let much of its staff go, including APD/MD GRANT RUBY. You can reach him at grant.ruby@gmail.com.
