Hawaii, Arizona Translators Change Hands

EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling the construction permits for FM translators K280FC/WAIPAHU, HI and K256AS/HONOLULU to VIC MICHAEL's KONA COAST RADIO, LLC for $55,000 and $60,000, respectively. The translators will rebroadcast EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION Christian Rock KHAI (AIR 1 RADIO HAWAII)/WAHIAWA-HONOLULU.
In another deal filed with the FCC, MICHAEL PIAZZA, LLC is selling FM translator K265BU/COTTONWOOD, AZ to YAVAPAI BROADCASTING CORPORATION for $100. The translator will be used to simulcast the buyer's Adult Standards KYBC-A/COTTONWOOD.
Control of CONVERGENT BROADCASTING, LLC, licensee of Top 40 KKPN (PLANET 102.3), AC KRSR (STAR 107.3), and Classic Rock KPUS (CLASSIC ROCK 104.5)/CORPUS CHRISTI, is changing hands from HOUSATONIC MICRO FUND SBIC, LP, HOUSATONIC EQUITY INVESTORS SBIC, LP, DANIEL DUMAN, and GEORGE SILVERMAN to BIA-CONVERGENT FCC TRUST for $500 plus payment of indebtedness upon a further change of control.
DAVID STEWART is buying out his partners FRED R. MORTON and EVELYN MORTON's 49% interest in DAWSON CO. BROADCASTING, LLC, licensee of Country KPET-A/LAMESA, TX, for $1. STEWART is also buying out the MORTONS' interest in KYMI LICENSE SUB LLC, licensee of Country KBXJ/LAMESA, for $1.
And HORTON BROADCASTING CO. has filed for a silent STA for its WWHV/LYNN HAVEN, FL, saying that it is unable to "operate the station profitably under current economic conditions."
