Former UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA football radio Network Coordinator STEVE BABIK has pleaded guilty to a charge of receipt and distribution of child pornography. BABIK, who pleaded not guilty in JANUARY and faced 20 years and a $250,000 fine on the distribution charge and an additional $250,000 fine on a possession charge, changed his plea and now faces 5 to 20 years in federal prison when he is sentenced on AUGUST 2nd. The plea bargain saw the prosecution drop the possession charge.
BABIK had been with the GATOR program for 20 years and hosted the "TAILGATOR" pre-game show and coach URBAN MEYER's post-game show on the network.
