Dave Reinhart Passes On

Everyone at ALL ACCESS is saddened to report the passing of former JACOR/TAMPA Market Manager DAVE REINHART (5/2) after a long battle with a very aggressive form of PARKINSON's DISEASE. He was 67.

During his radio career, he was also a jock at WSAI-A/CINCINNATI, then PD at WLW-A. In addition to being Market Manager, under CLEAR CHANNEL he was also RVP with authority over TAMPA, SARASOTA-BRADENTON and PUNTA GORDA, FL.

A highlight of DAVE's career was leading the staff at WFLZ, then known as the POWER PIG, to a huge ratings victory in 1989 they upset long-dominant EDENS Top 40 WRBQ (Q105). He retired in 1993.

CBS VP/Pop Programming DOM THEODORE worked very closely with DAVE for many years at WFLZ, and expressed his feelings: "DAVE was more like a dad than a boss. He was a remarkable mentor and friend, and many of us owe a great deal to him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this terrible time. He will be greatly missed."
