BURKEN BROADCASTING has been fined $3,000 by the FCC for failure to notify the Commission of the change of ownership of the tower of Spanish Talk KRLV-A/LAS VEGAS in 2007. In a similar case, MULTICULTURAL RADIO BROADCASTING was fined $3,000 for the same violation at the tower of Mandarin Chinese KAHZ-A/POMONA, CA.
The Commission also reversed an earlier decision in a group of mutually exclusive applications for a new noncommercial FM, dismissing the originally selected application of OSCAR AGUERO MINISTRY at PARK CITY, UT and accepting a competing application by the UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING at EVANSTON, WY instead. The AGUERO application was dismissed after the applicant lost its site assurance and dropped its pursuit of the frequency.
