May 14, 2010 at 4:28 AM (PT)
Comedian, actor and TV talk show host GRAHAM NORTON adds radio to his schedule, taking over the SATURDAY morning slot being vacated by his fellow multimedia star JONATHAN ROSS on BBC RADIO 2. NORTON, who is presently filling in for CHRIS EVANS in mornings on RADIO 2, will start his weekend show in OCTOBER. ROSS is making his widely-publicized exit from the BBC in JULY, with guest hosts filling in until NORTON's official debut.
NORTON, whose "THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW" airs on BBC1, said, "I'm thrilled to be a part of it. My liver is also delighted that I'll now have an excuse to leave the pub early on a FRIDAY night."
