Many radio websites, as well as this one (ALLACCESS.COM), run GOOGLE ads to generate additional revenue, and now GOOGLE INC. has revealed for the first time how it shares ad revenue with search and content publishers.
THE NEW YORK POST reports, in a move made in response to calls from publishers and regulators for greater transparency, "the MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA-based Internet giant, headed by CEO ERIC SCHMIDT, said in a blog post that it pays publishers 68% of the revenue GOOGLE collects from advertisers for content ads that appear on their sites. GOOGLE also said it pays publishers a 51% revenue share for search ads."
An antitrust case in ITALY was the impetus for GOOGLE to release those figures, which had long been kept internal.
