Condolences to family and friends of longtime Country performer THOMAS "SLIM" BRYANT, who died FRIDAY at 101.
BRYANT's band "SLIM BRYANT AND HIS WILDCATS" appeared daily on KDKA-A/PITTSBURGH's "KDKA FARM HOUR" in 1940-1959 as well as on WDTV/KDKA-TV. BRYANT was also the last surviving musician to have recorded with Country legend JIMMIE RODGERS. In 2007, he released a CD of 31 songs recorded at NBC in NEW YORK in the 1940's for radio syndication.
