KROQ's 'Weenie Roast' A Huge Success

On SATURDAY JUNE 5th thousands of music enthusiasts lined up outside the VERIZON WIRELESS AMPHITHEATER in IRVINE, CA for CBS Alternative KROQ/LOS ANGELES's annual WEENIE ROAST. The music festival took place on two stages and was made up of 14 bands beginning at 2p and 11p, and ALL ACCESS was there.

THE TEMPER TRAP kicked off the day at the BUD LIGHT STAGE TWO in the 80-degree sunshine playing a 30-minute set, followed by PASSION PIT, AGAINST ME!, CHEVELLE, and closing out the first set of the day were THE DEFTONES.

The fans then filed into the MAIN STAGE area around 5p to hear THE DIRTY HEADS play their summer hit, 'Lay Me Down,' and other tracks off their album. CAGE THE ELEPHANT, SPOON and SILVERSUN PICKUPS entertained the audience with their energetic performances.

PARAMORE hit the MAIN STAGE at 7p playing hits off their new album "Brand New Eyes." Following PARAMORE was the cult '80s band DEVO playing their 1980 hit "Whip It" and new tracks off their album set to release on JUNE 15th.

HOLE came on around 8p to play some their hits and making the crowd laugh with COURTNEY LOVE’S amazing stories. Closing out the day and headlining the tour were THE STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and SUBLIME WITH ROME, who after a long day of partying and rocking out to the bands, got the crowd off their feet and jamming.
