RADIOTIME, INC. and PEIKER ACUSTIC GMBH & CO. KG, will partner on a project allowing PEIKER to leverage the RADIOTIME Guide into its OEM solutions for integrating smart phones and other Internet-connected audio devices into car audio systems.
"Partnering with RADIOTIME will enable us to continue meeting our goal of designing communication in the vehicle so that different portable audio and entertainment devices can be easily connected to a car radio and enable users to use the car's in-dash or steering wheel controls to access those devices," said PEIKER EVP/Sales and Marketing REINHARD KROMER-VON BAERLE. "Adding the RADIOTIME Guide means we can provide the market's most comprehensive directory of Internet radio stations to our solutions."
"There is an ever-growing chorus from RADIOTIME users about wanting to access Internet radio in their cars because so many now plug their mp3 players or smart phones into their car stereos, but have to use their devices' controls to access the RADIOTIME Guide," said RADIOTIME Founder/CEO BILL MOORE. "Partnering with PEIKER will enable drivers to use their car radio controls to add their favorite radio stations and programs airing worldwide right next to their local radio presets."
