June 11, 2010 at 6:07 AM (PT)
TIM MCKERNAN and his co-hosts JIM HAYES and DOUG VAUGHN move from SIMMONS Sports KSLG-A (TEAM 1380)/ST. LOUIS to crosstown rival GRAND SLAM SPORTS Sports KFNS-A for mornings on MONDAY (6/10), reports the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH's DAN CAESAR. The move is a return to KFNS for MCKERNAN and HAYES.
MARTIN KILCOYNE gets bumped from mornings on KFNS but continues in an expanded version of the one-hour "THE TALKING HEADS" midday show he has been co-hosting with FRANK CUSUMANO; the show will now occupy 10a-1p, replacing CUSAMANO's former 10a-noon (CT) solo show. Afternoon host JAY RANDOLPH JR. moves to 1-3p with SARA BRUCE and JOE PELUSI. PAUL HARRIS and DENNIS PHILLIPS' "THE FINAL TABLE" poker show on TUESDAYS and RANDOLPH and JEFF SMITH's "FAIRWAYS AND GREENS" golf show on THURSDAYS will occupy 3-4p on those days, while former noon-2p hosts JEFF GORDON and JEFF VERNETTI move to 3-6p (CT), joined by evening host BRIAN MCKENNA.
Moving into MCKENNA's former late-night slot starting JULY 1st is "LATE NIGHT SCORE" with an all-female hosting crew of ANGELLA SHARPE, WENDY LODES, KELSEY ADAMS, KASEY LOSCH, and STEPHANIE MOLLMAN, produced by MCKERNAN's company.
Back at KSLG, the station will fill MCKERNAN's morning slot and a midday slot programmed by MCKERNAN's company with temporary programming, including taped repeats of MCKERNAN's show and possibly the addition of FOX SPORTS RADIO's DAN PATRICK and/or PREMIERE's JIM ROME.
