Radio DOPLR Says L.A. Is Still Rockin'

"The passion for rock and roll remains in L.A.," commented DANCE NAKED MEDIA Pres. HOWARD KROEGER, referring to his company's latest RADIO DOPLR monthly research report for the LOS ANGELES market completed for MAY.
RADIO DOPLR’s "Most Listened to Radio Station for Music" report shows that there is still passion for CBS Alternative KROQ in the LOS ANGELES marketplace. KROQ took the #1 position with Adults 18-54 and Adults 25-54. In second place was CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KIIS, with CBS Adult Hits KCBS (JACK-FM) in the #3 spot.
"What makes the RADIO DOPLR research so valuable is that we measure the listener’s passion. When it comes right down to it, passion and choice are the two huge factors for the long-term success of any radio station. This is in comparison with PPM’s passive, exposure measurement rating," added KROEGER.
Several other highlights of last month’s report included:
* CBS Top 40 KAMP (AMP RADIO 97.1) got top scores as the station in L.A. that "Plays the Most Music," followed by JACK-FM.
* KROQ’s breakfast team of KEVIN & BEAN came out on top as "Best Morning Show," followed by KIIS’ RYAN SEACREST.
* When it came to "Best Variety," JACK-FM came out on top, followed by CLEAR CHANNEL Hot AC KBIG.
* For "Listen to at Work," CLEAR CHANNEL AC KOST showed in the top position.
"RADIO DOPLR was introduced to the industry in APRIL and we have been very excited about the response we have received to date," noted KROEGER. "LOS ANGELES is off to a great start and we are currently negotiating with parties in several other markets to get started this summer."
