HOLLADAY BROADCASTING Talk KMLB-A (TALK 540)/MONROE, LA is celebrating 80 years of broadcasting on JULY 1st. The station moved to 540 AM in 2008 after many years at 1440 AM.
Owner BOB HOLLADAY said, "This is a milestone! The proudest part is that KMLB is still local and family-owned in today's world. Very few media outlets in MONROE are locally owned."
HOLLADAY added, "I am looking forward to the new transmission facility, which will greatly increase the coverage area served by KMLB."
"TALK 540 is one of the oldest and most important radio stations in the state," said PD ROB REDDING. "Though its ownership and formats has changed over the station's 80-year legacy, the station's commitment to informing the community remains unwavering."
"KMLB is very important to the entire area," said host MOON GRIFFON, who is heard on 14 stations throughout the region. "I have been at this station for 17 years, I have seen a lot of growth here. I am glad to be at KMLB."
An advertisers appreciation day is set for JULY 20th in MONROE.
