CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS spent $940,000 in Q1 lobbying the federal government, according to a recent disclosure report. BUSINESSWEEK.COM reports the money was spent on trying to influence local radio ownership rules and other issues.
CLEAR CHANNEL spent $819,000 in Q4, and $760,000 in Q1 of 2009.
The company "also lobbied on congressional oversight of digital billboards, enforcement of broadcast decency rules and diversity of ownership of telecom businesses, according to a report filed APRIL 20th with the House clerk's office that covered JANUARY through MARCH."
