BREVARD COMMUNITY COLLEGE is cutting its advertising budget, including radio and outdoor, by 62% in the fiscal year beginning JULY 1st, reports FLORIDA TODAY. The move, dropping ad expenditures from $675,000 to $260,000 and reducing radio spending alone by $230,000, is being made because, said college President JIM DRAKE, "We no longer believe that (it) is necessary ... (future students) certainly know the college is here."
Enrollment at the school is up 33% in the last three years. The school also operates WBCC-TV/COCOA, a noncommercial broadcast TV station that airs BCC PSAs.
