Cumulus Sale Of Texas Combo Called Off

The sale by CUMULUS MEDIA PARTNERS' SUSQUEHANNA RADIO CORP. of Talk KGVL-A/GREENVILLE, TX and and Country KIKT (93.5 KIK FM)/COOPER, TX to ALPHA and MIKE HORNE's KGVL RADIO LLC for $600,000 plus an LMA has failed to close, and the HORNEs has ended the LMA and exited the station, reports the GREENVILLE HERALD-BANNER. HORNE cited the FCC's decision to allow LIBERMAN Regional Mexican KNOR (LA RAZA 93.7)/KRUM, TX-DALLAS-FT. WORTH to build its upgrade without waiting for KIKT to complete its move further east (away from DALLAS) as a reason for ending the LMA and purchase.
In another deal filed with the FCC, EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling FM translator W260AT/TIFTON, GA to THREE TREES COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $45,000.
In a deal not yet filed with the FCC, CFLRADIO.NET reports that WESTSHORE BROADCASTING has sold Talk WOCA-A/OCALA, FL to GENERATIONS BROADCASTING CORP. for an undisclosed price.
APROVECHO RESEARCH CENTER has filed with the FCC for an extension of its silent STA for low power FM KSOW-LP/COTTAGE GROVE, OR due to financial difficulties. The station went dark on JANUARY 1st.
CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. has taken FM translator W205BP/PEMBERVILLE, OR off the air as it plans a move from its temporary sign-on site to a permanent location. The company has also taken W205AT/HAMLER, OH off the air because of the sign-on (with testing) of WJTA/GLANDORD, OH; it has applied to change the translator's facilities to avoid interference.
In technical filings, HARNEY COUNTY RADIO, LLC Classic Hits KQHC (THE Q 99.7)/BURNS, OR has applied for an upgrade from Class A (750 watts) to Class C2 (10.000 watts). The applicant is buying the station from B&H RADIO.
And COCHISE MEDIA LICENSES' silent KRMK/LAS VEGAS, NM has applied for a downgrade from Class C2 (26,000 watts) to Class A (120 watts).
