dms Broadcasting Hires Dan Charleston As Market Manager

dms BROADCASTING/GRAND CAYMAN hires radio veteran DAN CHARLESTON as its new Market Manager. CHARLESTON will be replacing BRYAN HOLLENBAUGH, who has accepted a position back in the U.S.
A move to THE CARIBBEAN is a significant departure for CHARLESTON, who has been bouncing between radio in OMAHA and SAN DIEGO since the early 80s. Most recently he was SVP/Business Development at VMIX, a software company, in SAN DIEGO. Previous management stints include CLEAR CHANNEL (and JACOR)/OMAHA, as well as FINEST CITY BROADCASTING/SAN DIEGO.
"I’m anxious to go to a place where radio makes a real difference in its community," said CHARLESTON. "Coming into an entrepreneurial operation, like dms, brings back that great feeling of being in radio. And being able to further the innovation of a market-leading company really excites me!"
"I’m excited for DAN, and the rest of my team," HOLLENBAUGH said. "The tandem of DAN and our relatively-new OM RON BOWEN is nothing less than a perfect match, and I’m glad to bring the two together."
CHARLESTON will make the permanent move by AUGUST 23rd.
As for HOLLENBAUGH’s move back to the States, the only comment he had was simply -- "Before I can announce where I’m heading, JAY MEYERS will have to steal industry headlines at least one more time. Stay tuned!"
