ACM (ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC) LIFTING LIVES presented the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE with a $100,000 check during “NASHVILLE RISING: A Benefit Concert For Flood Recovery,” spearheaded by CURB/NASHVILLE artist TIM McGRAW and WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist FAITH HILL, on JUNE 22nd.
The event was held at NASHVILLE’s BRIDGESTONE ARENA, featuring performances by CARRIE UNDERWOOD, TAYLOR SWIFT, LUKE BRYAN, TOBY KEITH, LeANN RIMES, MIRANDA LAMBERT, MONTGOMERY GENTRY, AMY GRANT, MICHAEL W. SMITH and many more.
ACM LIFTING LIVES Director ERIN SPAHN said: "Thanks to the big hearts of Country music artists like TIM and FAITH, the ACM raised over a million dollars for ACM LIFTING LIVES through our BROOKS & DUNN special that aired earlier this year on CBS. We are so grateful to be able to quickly use that funding to help flood victims in MIDDLE TENNESSEE and to be a part of this outstanding night showcasing NASHVILLE's generous, community-minded spirit.”
Donations can still be made toward flood recovery efforts through ACM LIFTING LIVES by texting ACM to 501501 or online at www.ACMLiftingLives.org through AUGUST.
