JEFF MCCLUSKY AND ASSOCIATES' Founder JEFF MCCLUSKY's daughter, LAUREN MCCLUSKY, has reached an agreement with MCDONALDS over the name of a charity event she organized called "MCFEST." WALLETPOP.COM reports "the college-age charity concert promoter has reached a settlement with the fast food giant, trading in the name of her show for $40,000.
The name "MCFEST" caught the attention of MCDONALD'S trademark attorneys, and got so heated, THE CHICAGO SUN-TIMES once referred to it as "McFight."
The fight even spilled onto the pages of FACEBOOK, with a page supporting MCCLUSKY's side of things.
Now WALLETPOP reports MCCLUSKY will "hold her next charity show WEDNESDAY AUGUST 4th in cooperation with the LOLLAPALOOZA festival. MCDONALD'S has also agreed to act as the main sponsor for this and next year's charity shows, which MCCLUSKY has renamed "Nelarusky" -- a moniker she devised by scrambling letters from her first and last names."
