GENERAL MOTORS has been using radio advertising in the WASHINGTON, D.C. market to improve its image. THE DETROIT FREE PRESS reports the ads are designed to tout the progress toward paying back loans to the U.S. government.
The under-the-radar campaign has aired over the past month BONNEVILLE News WTOP/WASHINGTON
"From energy solutions, to the designs of tomorrow -- GM is working hard to be a company all Americans can be proud of once again," the ads say.
"It's just an opportunity to reaffirm GM's importance to the nation's economy and communities," GM/WASHINGTON, D.C. Spokesman GREG MARTIN said. "More importantly, we have a bright future, we're making progress and we're on a path to return taxpayers' support."
The ads are set to run through JULY.
