Glenn Beck Tells Audience He May Be Going Blind

Blind Spot?

GLENN BECK illustrated his opposition to the OBAMA administration's health care reform law by telling a SALT LAKE CITY audience SATURDAY that he has been diagnosed with macular dystrophy, a disease that can lead to blindness, and has been told by a doctor that he may -- or may not -- lose his sight in the next year.  BECK said he responded, "Did you just charge me a thousand dollars for knowing what I knew my whole life?"  

The PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS and FOX NEWS CHANNEL host used the incident to reinforce his objection to the new health care law, saying, "I went to the best doctor I could find, while I could still go to the best doctor I can find."

Meanwhile, BECK's national tour is being followed by ads from a liberal church group running on radio in the markets where the host is appearing.  "FAITHFUL AMERICA" opposes BECK for his urging that parishoners of churches where pastors preach for "social and economic justice" leave their congregations.
