Gwyneth Williams Named Controller Of BBC Radio 4

BBC RADIO 4 has a new Controller, with GWYNETH WILLIAMS moving over from serving as Dir/English Networks and News at the WORLD SERVICE to oversee RADIO 4 and sister digital Comedy station BBC 7, which is being rebranded RADIO 4 EXTRA. She has been with the BBC since 1976. WILLIAMS is taking the place of MARK DAMAZER, who is exiting the stations this FALL.
Lorna Clarke Names Radio 2 And 6 Music Network Manager
The BBC also named former Urban BBC 1XTRA Head of Programmes LORNA CLARKE as Network Manager of Hot AC BBC RADIO 2 and Triple A BBC 6 MUSIC, which appears to have escaped the budget axe. CLARKE's new job is a newly-created position reporting to the stations' Controller BOB SHANNON.
And RADIO 2 and 6 MUSIC Head of Music JEFF SMITH will assume additional responsibilities for CLARKE's previous duties as Director of the BBC's Electric Proms.
