News Anchor Joins WPRO Weekend Lineup

MEDIA GENERAL NBC affiliate WJAR-TV (NBC10)/PROVIDENCE anchor GENE VALICENTI is adding a weekend talk show at CITADEL Talk WPRO-A-WEAN (NEWS TALK 630WPRO and 99.7 FM)/PROVIDENCE to his schedule.  VALICENTI will host 9a-noon (ET) on the station beginning this SATURDAY (7/24).

"I have always received a great response to guest-hosting on WPRO, and that's what convinced me to give my own show a shot," said VALICENTI. "People have been talking back to me on TV for years, and now on the radio I can talk back to them. I am committed to bringing the same 'fair and balanced' approach to radio that has served me well on TV."
