Tigers, Wings Ink New Deals With 97.1 The Ticket

CBS RADIO Sports WXYT-A-F (97.1 THE TICKET)/DETROIT will remain the home of the DETROIT TIGERS and RED WINGS under new multi-year deals.
"TIGERS baseball on the radio has long been a tradition for generations of families and a fabric of our community, and we're pleased to continue the tradition with 97.1 THE TICKET," said TIGERS SVP/Business Operations DUANE MCLEAN.
WINGS SVP/Business Affairs STEVE VIOLETTE said, "RED WINGS fans have anxiously followed their team on radio since FOSTER HEWITT's first national broadcast in 1933. We're proud to celebrate our first 10 years of partnership with 97.1 THE TICKET by extending their term as the radio flagship of the DETROIT RED WINGS."
"We are thrilled about renewing our partnership agreement with the TIGERS and WINGS," KENYON added. "97.1 THE TICKET is a powerful first-class radio station and we look forward to bringing the fans and our listeners the best in local sports programming."
