EUCARIO BERMUDEZ is retiring from his daily newscasting and reporting duties at GLR Spanish Talk WSUA-A (RADIO CARACOL 1260 AM)/MIAMI after 26 years and will continue with the station on the SATURDAY morning (LA VOZ DE LA COMUNIDAD" show. He will also be an advisor to the station's news department and will continue as a commentator and contributor to special event coverage.
"At this stage of my life I have decided to reduce my daily presence at the station to travel more and enjoy my family. I also want to have time to listen to our listeners, find out about their point of views, concerns and complaints. I want to be their voice on the radio", said "DON EUCARIO. "
"It gives me great pleasure to remain united to this great company, to its staff and to our loyal audience. In the Newscast show, I had the opportunity to tell many short stories about current events, but I prefer to analyze more in depth the news and tell more complete news stories. The opinion columns are the perfect spaces for me. They best allow me to do the kind of journalism that I like", he added.
VP/GM TOMAS MARTINEZ said, "We congratulate DON EUCARIO for his great work as a journalist at our station, and further more, for having become the voice of our large Hispanic community in SOUTH FLORIDA."
