Eric Hogue Fires Back At John And Ken

The sniping continues between SALEM Talk KTKZ-A/SACRAMENTO host ERIC HOGUE and CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KFI-A/LOS ANGELES afternoon hosts JOHN AND KEN, with HOGUE, back from being on the road, answering in a long, fiery blog post his rivals' charges of being a "paid whore who runs a radio show supported by a political candidate" due to taking a $1,000 payment from the campaign of Republican gubernatorial candidate MEG WHITMAN for advertising on his website.
In the post, HOGUE, whose ripping of JOHN AND KEN for criticizing WHITMAN's issuing conflicting positions on immigration to English-speaking and Spanish-speaking audiences touched off the dispute, called their response "sophomoric attention grabbing behavior delivered from their snake pit studios." HOGUE criticizes the KFI hosts because "We already know they aren’t Republicans, nor do they seem to be truly conservative. As an example, their 'radio glee club' over the reversal of Prop 8 has them gay and giggy these days."
I have an agenda and it is Republican.
"Here’s the rule: HOGUE NEWS is Republican," HOGUE writes, adding, "it’s no secret... I am biased with my opinions, my political ideology, my talk show and my personal website called HOGUE NEWS.... I have an agenda and it is Republican."
JOHN AND KEN, who do not explicitly position themselves as being either conservative or Republican, drew national press for their grilling of WHITMAN in an in-studio interview last week; HOGUE criticized them in his initial post because their focus on WHITMAN's inconsistencies and position on immigration could hurt WHITMAN's chances of beating Democrat JERRY BROWN in NOVEMBER. JOHN AND KEN are on vacation this week.
