WPRO-A/Providence Sets 'Debate Week' Schedule

CITADEL Talk WPRO-A-WEAN (NEWS TALK 630 WPRO AND 99.7 FM)/PROVIDENCE has set the schedule for next week's "Debate Week" series of on-air primary election debates. News Director BILL HABERMAN, reporter STEVE KLAMKIN, and THE HUMMEL REPORT's JIM HUMMEL are moderating the events, which will air 5-6p (ET) on BUDDY CIANCI's afternoon show.
On MONDAY (8/16), the Democratic candidates for Secretary of State, incumbent RALPH MOLLIS and State Sen. LEONIDAS RAPAKIS, will face off. On TUESDAY, Republican gubernatorial candidates JOHN ROBITAILLE and VICTOR MOFFIT will debate, while Democratic candidates for Congressional District 1, BILL LYNCH, DAVID SEGAL, and ANTHONY GEMMA will appear on WEDNESDAY. THURSDAY will feature the Democratic candidates for Mayor of PROVIDENCE, although incumbent Mayor DAVID CICILLINE has yet to respond to the station's debate invitation. The final debate, on FRIDAY, will be between the Democrats running for Lieutenant Governor, incumbent ELIZABETH ROBERTS and RED SOX executive JEREMY KAPSTEIN.
