Jay-Z Tops Forbes List Of Top Hip-Hop Earners

JAY-Z is the hip-hop king -- for the second year in a row. The 10-time GRAMMY award-winnerm who boasted to his fellow rappers in his track, "Oh My God" -- "What you call money, I pay more in taxes," topped a list of richest hip-hop performers by FORBES.COM, beating out rivals P DIDDY and AKON, who took the second and third spots respectively.
JAY-Z deposited about $63 million in the past year from his music, business ventures and endorsements. P DIDDY 2nd place finish was worth $30 million.
Things are pretty good on the homefront, as his wife BEYONCE, pocketed $87 this past year.
Despite being behind bars, DWAYNE "LIL WAYNE" CARTER, who is serving time in prison, pocketed around $20 million, good for fourth place, and ANDRE "DR. DRE" YOUNG bagged $17 million, taking the fifth spot.
