The CRTC has denied SAN LORENZO LATIN AMERICAN COMMUNITY CENTRE's application to change the power of its Type B community Ethnic CHHA-A (VOCES LATINAS)/TORONTO. The application sought to decrease daytime power from 10,000 to 6.250 watts and to increase nighttime power from 1,000 to 6.250 watts; the agency denied the application due to the applicant's noncompliance with the requirement to file annual returns for 2005 through 2007.
The Commission also rejected DURHAM RADIO INC.'s application to reduce the power of its CJKX-FM-2/TORONTO (rebroadcasting Country CJKX (KX96)/AJAX-OSHAWA, ON) from 220 to 175 watts but reorient the transmitter to serve more of the GREATER TORONTO AREA.
And NORTHWOODS BROADCASTING LTD. has received approval for a change for its CKDR-6-AM/ATIKOKAN, ON transmitter to switch from rebroadcasting AC CKDR-2-FM/SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON (rebroadcasting CKDR/DRYDEN, ON) to rebroadcasting AC CFOB (B93)/FORT FRANCES, ON.
