Millennium/NJ Launches Quu Platform

MILLENNIUM RADIO/NEW JERSEY will launch a new interactive music and advertising platform next month. The new service, developed by SEATTLE-based QUU (www.myquu.com), goes live LABOR DAY weekend on 10 of Millennium’s Garden State stations.
QUU (pronounced "Q") enables listeners to connect to their favorite radio station in new ways by reacting to a song, an announcer’s commentary or an ad. They have the choice between visiting the station’s website for an interactive playlist or sending a text message from their mobile phone to the station. Quu then provides listeners with song and artist details, the chance to interact directly with the station’s announcers, receive event alerts and more.
"We’re confident that our listeners will love the QUU enhancements since they will be able to interact with our announcers and advertisers real-time," MILLENNIUM RADIO/NJ Pres./CEO BILL SAURER said. "QUU further enhances MILLENNIUM’s ability to reach consumers on a one-to-one basis, in addition to our unprecedented ability to reach them on a broad scale."
MILLENNIUM is the second radio group in the country to roll out the new service; the first was SANDUSKY's SEATTLE cluster.
