BORDER MEDIA PARTNERS Regional Mexican KRIO/SAN ANTONTIO is now simulcasting sister Norteno KSAH-A. The simulcast will provide FM listeners popular features of Norteño 720 such as The Jobs Hour, The Flea Market on the Air, the "VICENTE FERNANDEZ 12 in a Row (Hora de los Corridos)."
"In the world of communications with multiple delivery platforms such as Internet, iPODS and so on, our listeners have told us that they would like to see Norteño’s programming moving from exclusively AM, to include options on the FM dial," BORDER MEDIA Spanish/SAN ANTONIO PD/OM ALFONSO FLORES said, "As PD, this offers an exciting opportunity to take the listener’s passion for the Norteño music to a better quality sound on an FM signal. This move will enable BORDER MEDIA to continually super-serve SAN ANTONIO’s local interest in the best radio with the wonderful features of the show and the kinds of personalities that San Antonians have loved for many years. ALBERT ALEGRE is the only on-air personality in SAN ANTONIO to be a prestigious MARCONI AWARD winner which he won last year; and Norteño is really SAN ANTONIO’s soul which reflects the diversity of Latinos in this market."
